Day 01: Arrival Day
Welcome to Albania!
Upon your arrival at the airport, our team will be ready to provide transportation to your hotel in Tirana. Later, one of our tour guides will visit your accommodation to brief you on the tour itinerary, answer any inquiries you may have, and ensure you have all the necessary information.
Monday: Dajti Mountain & Tirana City Tour
✿Departure from Discover Albania office at 09:00;
✿Take the cable car at the lower station of Dajti Ekspres for a scenic 15-minute journey;
✿Enjoy a coffee break at Dajti Tower Bar with a 360-degree view of the national park and Tirana;
✿Explore the area and visit Dajti Adventure Park & Aerial Adventure Park;
✿Have lunch at Ballkoni Dajtit for delicious food and a fantastic view of Tirana;
✿Leave Mount Dajti at 15:00 with the cable car;
✿Tour ends at 17:00 with a break before starting the Tirana City Tour;
✿Starting point at Discover Albania office at 19:00;
✿Quick tour of Tirana;
✿End the tour at Bunkart 2, the Museum dedicated to communist crimes.
Tuesday: Vlore & Karaburun
✿Departure from our offices at 6:00;
✿Coffee break on the way;
✿Arrive in Vlora, where we will depart by boat at 09:00;
✿The first destination will be “Haxhi Alia” Cave the most famous Albanian pirate, about 1 hour and 30 minutes away from Vlora;
✿Head straight at the Bay of “Shën Jan” about 20 minutes away from Haxhi Alia Cave;
✿Free time to eat lunch, on the boat restaurant or taken by yourself;
✿Then we head to Sazan island the largest island in Albania that during the Communist era, the entire island served as one of the largest fortified military bases in the country;
✿In the afternoon we leave from Vlora;
✿Around 20:30 arrival to Tirana.
Wednesday: Berat
✿ Departure from our offices (Rruga Myslym Shyri 7, Tiranë) at 09:00;
✿ Coffee break on the way;
✿ Arrival in Berat, the city of “one over one window”. Part of UNESCO and considered one of the oldest cities in Europe.
✿ Visit the Castle of Berat, which dates back to the 4th century BC. There you will enjoy a wonderful view of the city. The castle is built on a rocky hill on the left bank of the river Osum and is accessible only from the south. The center of the castle quarter is rich with many Byzantine churches; most of them are unique for the wall paintings, icons, and the values they hold.
✿ Visit at The Cathedral of Shën Mëria houses a museum of works by the famous iconographers of the 16th century: Onufri, and his son, Nikolla. There are over 100 icons on display and they also include works of other artists such as Joan Çetiri, Onufër Qiprioti, and many anonymous painters.
✿ The tour of the mosques;
✿ Free time to eat lunch;
✿ Exploring the old neighborhoods of Gorica and Mangalem linked by the Gorica bridge a seven-arched stone landmark with a similar design to the Ottoman bridge in Visegrad;
✿ Çobo winery degustation (Optional);
✿ Return to Tirana.
Thursday: Durres & Petrela
✿Departure from Tirana at 09:00;
✿Arrival in Durrës;
✿Explore old Romanian ruins (old market of ancient city) and visit Venice Tower, a 15th-century structure on Byzantine remains;
✿Discover the majestic Amphitheatre of Durrës, one of the most beautiful Roman amphitheaters;
✿Explore the archaeological museum of Durrës;
✿Enjoy free time for lunch;
✿Take a leisurely walk in the Vollga area;
✿Depart from Durrës to Petrela;
✿Experience Petrela Castle firsthand;
✿Try out the thrilling Zip Line;
✿Visit the ancient walls of Përsqopi;
✿Explore the historic Shrine of the Bride’s Tomb;
✿Return to Tirana.
Friday: Shkodra
✿ Departure from our offices at 09:00;
✿ Coffee break on the way;
✿ Visit at the Castle of Rozafa, the strongest castle of the Labeats, and with an amazing legend relates to the castle, it talks about the human sacrifice made at the time of its construction;
✿ Walking in the pedestrian area of Shkodër;
✿ Free time for lunch;
✿ Visit at Ethnographic Museum of Shkodër inside a traditional Albanian house, where each room of the house showcases a different aspect of Albanian life;
✿ Visit at the Marubi Photography Museum now National Museum of Photography in Shkodra comprises over 150,000 photos, many of which are of great historical, artistic, and cultural significance;
✿ Time for a coffee in Shiroke;
✿ Arrival in Tirana.
Saturday: Kruja
✿ Departure from our offices at 09.00 o’clock;
✿ Travel by car for 1 hour to Kruja City center;
✿ Visit the 400-year-old Kruja Bazaar. The cobblestone road will lead us to traditional handmade crafts and fascinating antiques;
✿ Enter the 2000-year-old castle;
✿ Visit Skanderbeg National Museum;
✿ Free time to enjoy a traditional lunch at local restaurants. The Guide will gladly suggest the best places to eat.
✿ Visit at Sarisalltik Mountain, only 20 min by car from Kruja City Center;
✿ Optional coffee stop in Kruja City for one last time and departure to Tirana;
✿ Head back to Tirana in the afternoon.
Sunday: Day off
Sunday will be a free day for you to relax and enjoy Tirana at your leisure. Take this opportunity to unwind and explore the vibrant city at your own pace. Discover the charming cafes, stroll through the lively streets, or visit the local attractions that pique your interest. Whether you choose to immerse yourself in Tirana’s rich culture, indulge in delicious local cuisine, or simply relax in one of the city’s beautiful parks, this day is yours to make the most of your time in Tirana.
